Home Dance Challenge is born! A TV format for IG, created by Fini Dance New York, to tell the world: “dance never stops.”
February 2020. Chaos, confusion, uncertainty. The world is in turmoil, and the impact of COVID-19 on the population puts each of us to the test. We are forced to stay shut inside our homes, frightened and unaware of what is happening around us. Suddenly, we are forbidden to go out, to feel the warmth of an embrace, to live our lives and be with our loved ones. Everything feels frighteningly surreal.
But we do not give up! Together, with songs and music from balconies across Italy, united in chorus we shout to the whole world: “dance never stops.”
And that’s where a new challenge begins: Home Dance Challenge!!! The idea is to create a video where young dancers move and dance “freely” around their homes. Hashtag #homedancechallenge to refuse to give up, as a test to put oneself out there, and as a liberating gesture of rebellion against the outside chaos.
Once the material was collected and reviewed, Antonio Fini and Tabata Caldironi selected the best videos to be featured in the new Instagram TV format Home Dance Challenge! But that’s not all—the winning video also received three weeks of Summer School in Calabria worth €1,500, offered by Irene Correnti, plus a beautiful dance outfit designed by the artist!
It was a great success! It brought emotions and provided precious care for both body and spirit. Through our Art, we shouted loudly how important Dance is for all of us!

Nasce Home Dance Challenge! Un format TV per IG, targato Fini Dance New York, per dire al mondo “la danza non si ferma”
Febbraio 2020. Caos, confusione, incertezza. Il mondo è in subbuglio e l’impatto del COVID-19 sulla popolazione mette a dura prova ognuno di noi. Siamo costretti chiusi in casa, spaventati e inconsapevoli di ciò che accade intorno a noi. Improvvisamente ci viene vietato di uscire, di sentire il calore di un abbraccio, di vivere la nostra vita e i nostri affetti. Tutto sembra paurosamente surreale. Ma noi non ci arrendiamo! E insieme, tra canti e balconi di tutta Italia in musica, uniti in coro urliamo al mondo intero “la danza non si ferma” Ed è qui che nasce una nuova sfida! Home Dance Challenge!!! Ovvero, la creazione di un video mentre giovani danzatori ballano”liberamente” per casa. Hashtag #homedancechallenge per non arrendersi, come prova per mettersi in gioco e come gesto liberatorio e di ribellione al caos esterno. Ottenuto e visionato il materiale, Antonio Fini e Tabata Caldironi hanno scelto i migliori video per inserirli nel nuovo format televisivo Instagram Home Dance Challenge! Ma non solo, il video vincitore ha ottenuto tre settimane di Summer School in Calabria dal valore di 1.500€ offerta da Irene Correnti e uno splendido outfit danza disegnato dall’artista!
È stato un grande successo! Ha donato emozioni e preziose cure al nostro corpo e allo spirito, abbiamo urlato a gran voce e attraverso la nostra Arte quanto la Danza sia importante per ognuno di noi!
