The Milan Ballet, directed since 1998 by Carlo Pesta, recognized and supported by MIBACT (Ministry for cultural activities), holder of “Recognition of Regional Importance – REGION LOMBARDIA “, supported and sponsored by the MUNICIPALITY OF MILAN, is one of the most   prestigious companies in Italy, in addition to the great Scala of Milan is a unique ballet company stable in Milan and throughout Lombardy to have its own theater and an international activity. The artistic line has led the Company to be present in the major Italian and foreign theaters, lyric foundations, and festivals where always gets hits of public and unanimous criticism. A versatile company, whose style is appreciated by a heterogeneous public, boasts a wide repertoire that ranges from great repertoire classics and literary classics revisited in a harmonious mix of styles with contemporary productions that emphasize the high level that distinguishes it. In fact, all the dancers come from the best schools and international academies and are concretely valued by the many opportunities. In its history large and numerous artists stand out and currently collaborate with the Ballet of Milan names of international choreography such as Giorgio Madia and Teet Kask, as well as new ones authors born within the Company. Among the very active Italian companies also abroad (France, Spain, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Russia, Morocco etc.) where it is present in the posters of theaters and leading institutions.

The first Italian company to perform at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow (1999). In 2017 the Ballet of Milan, at the invitation of the Italian Embassy, of the ICC in Morocco and representing Italy, inaugurates the FITUC Festival of Casablanca where Italy is the guest of honor of the year. As part of the international collaboration and partnership network, in December the Company will represent 13 performances of its Nutcracker at the Kristiansand Opera House with the participation of the Orchestra and the children of the Norwegian Theater School.
The Compagnia also boasts a remarkable repertoire in the lyrical field thanks to collaborations for the ballets in the works produced by important international festivals and theaters.
In 2013 he inaugurated the Theater of Milan, the new venue where he organizes, besides the shows, numerous initiatives aimed at spreading the dance including the ballet season for schools, meetings and seminars, exhibitions. The Milan Theater is considered among the city’s landmarks for choreutical art.
